Metropolitan districts are special districts formed under Colorado law to finance and maintain a development's public infrastructure — streets, water and sewer lines, parks, drainage. - You can be in a district AND an HOA. They are separate bodies with separate rules, separate money, and separate contacts — being in one tells you nothing about the other.
- The board is elected and the meetings are public. As a property owner inside the district you can attend, run, and vote.
